Soil type: mainly "Alberese" (locally called Colombino) with some spots of "Galestro".
Climate: tipycal continental climate of central tuscan.
Vinification and Ageing
Yield per Hectare: 7 tons.
Harvesting: hand picked in October
Vinification: The grapes were destemmed, gently crushed and fermented with
natural yeasts, the cap of skins was managed with short pumping
over to avoid over extraction and after 2 weeks was pressed
and racked into large untested cask to go through the malolactic
fermentation and the following aging of 18 months.

Tasting Notes:

Vintage 2015: excellent vintage with a dry summer and fall which allowed to
pick ripe and healthy grapes, the wine is showing a classic mix
of floral hints, red fruit, black cherry and spices; the palat is
powerfull with juicy tannins and a lots of energy, a great texture
and a long and bright finish
